Mandates of KVK

The mandate of Krishi Vigyan Kendras is to assess, refine, and demonstrate agricultural technologies for farmers, while also serving as a knowledge and resource centre. This includes organising training programs, creating awareness about new technologies, and providing advisory services.

• Technology Assessment and Demonstration (OFT, FLDs).
• Capacity Development – trainings for farmers, extension personnel, rural youth.
• Knowledge and Resource Centre – information dissemination.
• Farm Advisory Services – guidance on crop selection, pest control, etc.
• Production and Supply of quality seeds/planting materials.
• Generating Self‑Employment opportunities through skill development.
