The Brief KVK Information

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) is functioning at Aurangabad since 1983 with the financial assistance from the Indian Council of Agriculture Research, New Delhi and working under the administrative control of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani.

KVK is functioning as district level farm science center, the mandate being, Technology assessment and demonstration forits application and capacity development. The activities include on –farm testing of technologies and demonstration, capacity development of farmers and extension personnel, functioning as a knowledge and resource center of agricultural technologies ,providing farm advisories using ICT. In addition, KVK produce quality technological products (seed, planting material, livestock strain, fodder planting material) and make it available to farmers, organize frontline extension activities, identify and document selected farm innovations, and ensure convergence with ongoing schemes and programs.
